Due to the larger diameter, the Heavy Duty Balloon Fenders are a popular combination with cylindrical fenders onboard most Work boats & Commercial vessels. The larger diameter can in many situations be an advantage and therefore it is recommended to have both cylindrical and balloon fenders on board all vessel types.

However, it is recommended that the +60m vessels always have inflatable fenders onboard. They are needed when smaller boats are docking againts the vessel on open water, or when docking againts sensitive buildings, constructions etc. The soft inflatable fenders are an advantage in these situations since they don’t leave black marks like other types of commercial fenders & tires!
